Welcome to the Dragon*Con Robotics Track Website

Southern Poly Challenge
The Southern Polytechnic State University Mechatronics Engineering Challenge is an event held at Dragon*Con in Atlanta. Teams use Vex robotics kit on loan from the SPSU Mechatronics Engineering Program to build a robot designed to complete a series of goal based tasks.  In the past these tasks have included balloon popping, tennis ball gathering, and obstacle courses. This is a great learning experience for people of all ages who want to learn more about robotics.

Since 1991, Robot Battles has been staging robotic combat competitions around the United States, with annual events in Chattanooga, Tennessee at Chattacon, in High Point, North Carolina at StellarCon, and in Atlanta, Georgia at Dragon*Con.

For the twentieth year in a row, Robot Battles will be returning to Atlanta for the Dragon*Con convention and our largest competition of the year. Held for two days over the Labor Day Weekend of 2010, this is the one robotic event of the year you do NOT want to miss!
